Playing on the Trail

Colton loves to go for walks and throw rocks into the water just off the side of the trail. Kenny is usually the one who takes him and I found these great pictures on my camera of one of their walks.

Scary Wake Up Call

This event happened last week before Kenny went back to work. But I thought I would share it here so that I wont forget it.

The Saturday morning before Kenny was supposed to go back to work; we were enjoying a lovely breakfast of eggs, bacon, and yummy sugar toast(courtesy of Kenny). When Colton reached his hand into the back of his diaper and pulled it out saying, "Ewwww, Grosss! Poooo!" I started gagging and Kenny quickly grabbed him took him to wash his hands and change his diaper. I quickly became overwhelmed as I imagined what I had to deal with the next day all by myself and started crying at the table. That night was really rough. Tucker was up for most of the night and I cried and begged Kenny to stay home.

Kenny ended up staying home for one more day. Which I am extremely grateful for, because that morning after Kenny woke up and called his work to let them know he wouldn't be coming in, he opened up Colton's door and then crawled back into bed. A little while later Colton came right up to my side of the bed and woke me up by loudly saying, "Mama, ewww gross!" I was startled awake and when my eyes focused on what was gross. dark brown all over his fingers and face. I almost started crying again. Kenny jumped out of bed to clean him up, and started laughing when he discovered that the mess all over Colton was just the chocolate cupcakes my Grandma Hulse had brought us the night before. How he got them off the counter is still a mystery to me.
