Today is Kenny's birthday so I would like to post a few things about him. When he was a little kid he liked to go out frogging in the swamps with the Child's and the Coon's. He is always telling me stories from his youth about how much freedom he had. Or thinks he had. He is way into motorcycles! When he was sixteen he was hit by a car while riding his motorcycle. The accident broke his leg and he was in a cast for I think about eight or nine months. Seeing as how he re-broke it playing ward basketball. He used to ride his motorcycle to school and even rode it with his cast on. He's a crazy one. He is what my mom would call a water baby. He loves water. We spent our honeymoon at Bear lake. This summer we went boating a lot with my best friend Jan and her family where Kenny learned how to wake board. He is pretty good and he really loves it. He is really strong which is why I think he's so good at it. His first attempt to get up was pretty bad because Keith didn't quite explain what he was supposed to do so when the boat started going Kenny was trying to pull himself up. All I remember of that is Keith turning around and saying to me "He is really strong! I can feel him pulling my boat!" He started dating me in high school during his senior year. Lucky him! Our first date was to the Christmas dance at the capitol building. I asked him. He's been stuck with me ever since. He went to diesel school in Laramie, Wyoming for a year. The hardest year of my life! He got a job as soon as he finished school at Prime Inc. Where luckily he is still employed. He is great with kids. All my nieces and nephews seem to just love him. I love when Ethan asks where uncle Kenny is. He married me on July 12, 2007. And we had our bouncing baby boy Colton Scott Goudy on February 5, 2009. Kenny is such a great father to him. I didn't ever change a diaper until Colton was two weeks old and Kenny had to go back to work :) On May 2, 2009 we were sealed together as an eternal family. His whole life now seems to revolve around his family. I love him so much and still can't believe how lucky I am that I caught him. Happy Birthday my love!!!

For FHE we went with the Townsends to see the lights at temple square. It was a beautiful evening. We had a great time. Other than in the parking lot when we first arrived. :)

Surprise in the Dishwasher
I had finally put Colton down for a nap.So I figured I would do some cleaning. So here I was, trying to be a good housewife and clean my kitchen. I needed to unload the dishwasher so that I could reload. I had a lot of dishes I needed to clean. So when I open my dishwasher I almost screamed out loud. For there in the bottom of my dishwasher was a big fat brown mouse!!!! How the heck it got in there? I am still trying to figure it out. I automatically started calling "kitty, kitty, kitty" as quietly as I could. Jynx of course took his sweet time to saunter into the kitchen with a look on his face that said "I only came in here so you would shut up". But as soon as he saw that mouse he turned into a killing machine. He caught it pretty quickly. I have never seen my big cat move so fast. So right after he catches it he starts to take it to my bedroom. So I start off after him and try to pick him up. I do not want a mouse in my bedroom. So he lets it go. It runs right at me and I start screaming. So he catches it again and then lets it go so he can chase it. And it runs into my spare bedroom. I couldn't believe that he lost it. Stupid cat! So I had to go in there and clean up all the junk that was in there. But I guess it's good that I finally cleaned that room. I had been meaning to for about a month. I was still pretty angry at my cat for letting that mouse go and was having a really hard time picking things up. Certain that a mouse was going to run at me. After the room was straightened I couldn't get Jynx to come out so we just let him stay in there. We had to keep the door open. Fortunately Jynx did get it again. The unfortunate event was that I had to clean up the bloody mess on my carpet. Anyway the only reason I decided to post this is because it has been the most action we've seen at our house for a while. And because I usually only post about Colton. So here is a post where I only mentioned him twice.

Scrapbook
So for the past few weeks in my spare time and sometimes all day on my weekends I have been scrapbooking. Trying my hardest to finally catch up with what I wanted to do. I wanted to catch up on 2009 and also do a couple of pages for Colton's baby book. I also wanted to scrapbook my wedding day. I'm not sure what to do with my time now. But I wanted to show a couple of my favorite pages. They look way better in person so feel free to stop by and check it out. Plus I didn't put all my good pages on here.

Colton and the Slide
We went to the Discovery Gateway on Monday with Aunt Marinda and Cousin Ethan. We had such a great time discovering that Colton could reach the water. He also found a fun toy a blue dog that he could ride all by himself. But the best part was definitely the slide. He didn't quite get it at first but as soon as he did there was no stopping him. He would go down the slide and then immediately turn around and try to crawl back up to go again. We had such a great time. Thanks Marinda and Ethan for taking us with you.

Isn't It Ironic?
Today as many of you all ready know there was a huge explosion at the Silver Eagle Refinery(the refinery in between mine and Steph's house, the one that exploded a few months ago and Steph and her family had to evacuate) A pipe containing hydrogen and diesel fuel erupted causing a major explosion that shook houses for miles around and caused a few power outages. After the explosion Colton and I went over to Marinda's house. She was so sweet to let us come. Steph and Alaina came over as well. We had a great time. When I got home I went and grabbed my mail and had a great laugh. In the mail was a letter from Silver Eagle Refinery. The letter goes as follows.
Dear Residents,
Silver Eagle Refinery would like you to attend a public open house..........The purpose of the open house is to provide residents with the information regarding the Refinery's operations, and safety and environmental processes and initiatives, and to answer questions residents might have regarding the Refinery..................We are committed to being a responsible business in the community and keeping residents informed, and this open house is the way of doing it.

Halloween is Over!!!!!!
We've had an interesting holiday. We had our ward trunk or treat on Friday night. Which surprisingly I had a good time at. Thanks Marinda for coming. I had a chance to get to know our new bishop a little better. I drank lots of hot chocolate and scored some candy. Colton was pretty cute dressed up as a black cat and Ethan was his vet. He was going to be a leopard but unfortunately the zipper broke on that costume. I was extremely vexed when it happened. But the night turned out to be a good one. On Halloween we went over to Grammy and Poppy's house and had a great time. Grammy made homemade rootbeer, homemade apple pop, mummy calzones (which were delicious) chicken noodle soup, and french dip sandwiches. She really outdid herself. My favorite comments from last night were from Marinda and Kenny. Marinda: I love it when mom cook for us. Kenny: Yeah, she should do it everyday.
We left Grammy house to go to the WB 10th ward trunk or treat. It was fun to see some of my old neighbors and even the new ones I don't know that well. Some of the kids I grew up with were there with their kids. It's crazy to see how we've all grown up and gone our own ways. After the trunk or treat we stopped by Grandpa Dave and Grandma Sherries house. Sadly Grandma was sick. Hope you get better. Grandpa Dave was outside getting ready to pass out candy. I'll have to ask him how that went. Seeing as how the trunk or treat was the same night as Halloween. We then proceeded to Bob and Jamie's house to see baby Myrrie as a lady bug she is so adorable! Jarren was superman but he wouldn't put on his costume. Luckily we saw them out trick or treating. He made a great superman. I wonder if he chose to be superman because his mom watches Lois and Clark? Hmm. We went over to the West's and they fed us chicken chili. One of the reasons I love them. We started to go trick or treating with Jan and her two girls until Colton had decided he had had enough. So he got to go home with daddy and have a bath and I got to stay out and walk with Jan. It was great to see my neighbors all dressed up when they answered the door. My favorite was Sister Chase, she was princess Lea from Star Wars. Feel free to correct my spelling. Not sure how to spell that name. So we had a pretty good Halloween even though I had to go to two trunk or treats. I'm just glad it's all over until next year.

I Got My Baby Back!
I got my baby back! My sweet sugar (that's my car) is finally fixed. My awesome husband figured out what was wrong and $30 later she runs again. Although the check engine light just came on. We went to Auto Zone and they told us we have to take it to a dealer to have the codes cleared. But ah the sweet glory of having my car again.

BONES!
I'm pretty sure I have a problem. Every Thursday at 7:00pm I rush downstairs to my TV and quickly turn to channel 13.1 to watch Bones. Sometimes I make sure the TV is set before it starts in case I am late getting downstairs. Now I'm not sure if I should feel bad about this. I mean there are some people whom I think are a bit extreme about watching their shows. But it's just this one show. So what if I tell my husband to move Colton because he is messing up the signal and I am missing some of my show. So what if I tell him to be quiet and wait for commercials to talk to me. It's only this one show that I obsess over. I even joked that we should find someone to tend. So every Thursday I remind him that Bones is on. And that I am not to be bothered. Yeah, this might be a problem.

Giving it a Try
I let Colton play in his Halloween costume today. I want to make sure he wont cry because he's not used to it. He did pretty good until he couldn't get one of his hands out of the sleeve. He was trying to crawl and kept falling because the sleeve was too slippery on the hardwood. It was pretty funny to watch. He is so stinkin' cute. I just wanted to share.

Fish
I put some fish on my sidebar. I am not sure if many of you know that you can actually click on the water and feed them. You should give it a try. For some reason I find it pretty entertaining.

We're going to the Zoo......and the Dicovery Gateway
We had an awesome Thursday with the Townsends. We went to the zoo to see the cute baby elephant. And I must say that I have never been through the zoo so fast. It was awesome. It wasn't very crowded because so is in session. And with Colton in a stroller and Ethan on a leash we weren't having to chase kids around. By the way, as soon as Colton is walking I am definitely getting one of those back pack leashes. Anyway, the baby elephant was adorable. She stayed by her mom for most of the time. The monkeys were fun. They were more active then I usually see them. There was a cute baby snow leopard, three tiger cubs, a baby giraffe. And a really cute orangutan who was showing off for us. He would swing on a rope and hit the window. It was lots of fun. We rode the train. Colton passed out before we got to the train so he slept the whole ride. Then we headed to the discovery gateway(aka the new children's museum) Colton is now starting to really enjoy it. He loves the balls, and the water, and now that he can crawl he liked the toddler place. There is also a dog house with some fake dogs that he really liked. We got balloon animals and our faces painted. And when we finally got home I thought for sure Colton would need a nap. So I gave him a bottle and put him down. Ten minutes later I can hear him talking. So I go into his room only to discover he has thrown his binky across the room and is busy chatting to his stuffed animals. So two hours later he finally took a nap. Man he can really go.
