Nursery

Yesterday I took Colton to nursery to see how we would handle all the kids. I was pretty nervous seeing as how he was the tiniest kid there. But he handled it great. It started out with snack time, and he loved that. Sitting in a little person chair and eating fruit snacks was just the thing for him. Then there was singing time. The music leader helped him pick a bird with a song on it's back and then 'helped' him back in his chair. He did not appreciate her help at all. That was when he got kind of moody. Then they did a star song and every kid got to hold a star on a popsicle stick, that was pretty nice. That made him happy. After that he was great. They played for the rest of the time and fortunately for Colt there was a soccer ball to play with. The #1 favorite thing in the whole world! A ball! He got along great with all the kids and for now is pretty good about sharing toys.....as long as it isn't a ball. He gets pretty upset if anyone else plays with his ball. About 11:30 he got pretty tired and while playing in the middle of all the toys his tired little eyes would start to close and he would fall forward a bit. So he went and got his bottle from my bag and I had to watch it because there was one little boy who kept trying to get at it.
After we came home from church he took a nap. I think that I will enjoy him being in nursery. I am going to keep going with him for a few weeks but leave to go to the 'bathroom' and see how he handles me not being there. We'll see.

Sounds like he had a good time at nursery. You will love it when you can just leave him there for the entire 2 hours. :)
