Finding Joy in the Journey
Today in Relief Society we had a lesson from President Monson's talk in general conference. It is entitled "Finding Joy in the Journey." It is a really good talk and I am grateful for the chance we have once a month to review a talk given at general conference. Anyway, they asked people to share experiences they have experienced in their lives where they found joy in their lives when they could have been depressed instead. So I would like to share my thought with you since I didn't have a chance in Relief Society. Yesterday Kenny and I were growing increasing bored and impatient so we decided that we would take the truck up to the B and do some four wheeling. Bad mistake. There is still snow up there and with the warm days and rain, it was all slush. About three feet of slush. We realized our mistake too late as the truck started slipping and sliding. All too soon we were wedged up against the mountain, stuck in a ditch. Try as we may we couldn't get unstuck. We had to call family to get phone numbers of towing companies. And 2 hours later we were being towed out of the ditch. At first I really started to panic and could have easily become hysterical within minutes of realizing we were in trouble. Instead we decided to say a prayer. We prayed that we could make it home safely without further incident( going into labor) After that prayer I knew we would be okay. I felt very calm. We waited for almost 2 hours for the tow truck. I am grateful for those 2 hours of peace. I have been feeling stressed and a little bit neglected. I have been trying to spend as much quality time with Kenny before all our time is devoted elsewhere. It was so beautiful and calm to be away from everything and just have time for the two of us. I felt very close to Kenny and to my Heavenly Father. I knew we would be looked after and it really helped me. I am very grateful for little experiences that draw me nearer to my Father in Heaven and those here on earth that I love. I cannot wait til May when we go through the Temple to be sealed together as a family. It is one of things that I look forward to with great joy.

Potential New Member of the Family
At times I think I have lost my mind! And in this case I believe that to be true. For a long time Kenny and I have been discussing getting another dog for when Puddles dies. We are afraid that Zip will be even more of a terror. So we thought when that time comes we would get a dog the same size with the same energy level so they could keep each other entertained. We weren't really looking but we happened to find a 10 week old blue heeler border collie mix. My friend needs to get rid of him so we are giving him a try. I am completely insane!!!! I am due in less than four weeks and now I have a 10 week old puppy that needs lots of love and discipline and has never been locked in a kennel before! But he all ready fits in perfectly. Zip has found a new best friend. They are together constantly and play all the time. So if things don't work out I'm afraid Zip will be a little disappointed. He finally has someone who will play with him.

Snow Days
Kenny and I have been having a pretty fun weekend and are really enjoying this snow! We got the four wheeler out and went for rides. We played with Zip out in the snow. He actually chases snow balls and will find them and bring them back to you! It is hilarious to watch! He has really taken to the snow and loves it when anyone plays with him.

We also had a ward Christmas party this morning. It was pretty fun only Santa got "stuck" no one knows where. My guess is the chimney. So we left before he got there. But it was fun to see Jarren. He is such a cutie! He walked around the gym on only the black line with such a straight face it was pretty funny. He probably walked around the gym 20 times.

Christmas Decor
Here are some pictures of our Christmas decor that we have decided to put up this year. It is not much but it will do. Kenny is refusing to put up lights on the house. Which I don't really mind. I do love to see all the lights at Christmas time though. That is one of my favorite things about this season. I am thoroughly excited to go to Temple Square this month just for the lights(and to see my mom sing) I also can't wait to talk Kenny in taking me on a drive through town to see all the lights. I am very excited to be with my family this holiday season.

Random Pictures
I was playing on Kenny's computer and found some pictures that I totally forgot about. They are all from 2007. They made me remember the good times that we have together.
This is at a rendezvous at Fort Beunaventura.
This is at Antelope Island. We went riding with the Townsends
Kenny riding John Deere.
