Thumbsucker!
My nights have been getting better and better. Colton sleeps from about 10:00pm until sometime around 5:00 am. Each night he keeps sleeping a bit longer. Last night was 9:40pm until 6:30am. When I went in this morning I have discovered the reason as to why he has been sleeping so well.
He has discovered his thumb. Now he doesn't need anyone to go and put his binky back in his mouth. He just sucks his thumb. Now I know everyone is going to tell me this is a bad thing; but he is only 3 months old. If it helps my baby sleep better that's great. I will worry about this later in life when he is older. For now I am going to enjoy my nights.

Colton's Baby Blessing
Our little boy is to blessed on Sunday May 3rd. He will be blessed at the Apple Chapel on 800 W 1500 S at 12:45. Please try to arrive by at least 12:30. There will be another baby being blessed so seating will be tight. Try to get there early. After sacrament meeting there will be a light lunch at my mom's house. If there is inclement weather we will go to the Goudy's residence. If you would like to bring anything to the lunch please call and let me know. See you all there!!!!

Happy Easter
We had a great Easter weekend. It turned out to be a very nice weekend with the weather. Sunday was just beautiful! Saturday was mom's annual easter egg hunt/egg smash. Colton is to small to actually do the egg hunt so he had some help from his dad.

After the egg hunt my family went for a walk down the legacy parkway. We picked grass to feed the horses but the stupid horses didn't want anything to do with us and our lame efforts to get them to come try the grass we got them. Everytime I walk on the legacy trail I always try to find raccoon tracks and I finally with the help of my dad found some. So now I have to find something else to look for to keep my walks interesting. The walk tired out all of the kids. After such an exciting morning of hunting eggs and eating cupcakes they didn't last long.

On Easter Sunday Colton and I slept in and decided that we would go to church with Grammy. They had such an awesome program I tried not to cry during it. But I was distracted during some of it by Alaina and her sticking her fingers in Colton's ears. It was hilarious!!! She has soo much energy. After church we played at Grammy's house for awhile and I of course was eating everyone's easter chocolate. And was playing on the floor with Colt and calling him a drooly boy when out of irony I drooled on him. Yummy chocolate drool that I now have to get out of nice Sunday clothes.
Then we went over to Grandma Goudy's house for FHE with the family where Colton saw his great grandma Goudy for the first time and I feel like an idiot for not taking pictures!!! Everyone played with him and he was sooo over stimulated last night that we didn't sleep. So he has finally fallen asleep in his swing and I am posting this blog. I am grateful that we have such fun family events to go to. And grateful for our fun families :)

Chunky Monkey
My little Colt is getting even bigger. He had his 2 month check up yesterday where we discovered he weighs a whole 10 lbs 14 oz. Man is he chunky. Unfortuneatley he also had to have 3 shots in his legs. I've never seen him cry so hard in my life. My poor baby. Then I had to leave to go to work so I didn't get to snuggle him and make him feel better. :( I'm not a big fan of this going back to work thing. Anyway lately he has been giggling. It makes you feel good when he gives you a big toothless grin and then giggles at you. His smiles make life worth while. He also laughs in his sleep. He is so strong and likes to stand and put all his weight on his chunker legs. He is very good at holding his head up and looking around. He must be having a funny dream because he keeps laughing. I love him to death. He is getting better at sleeping too. He will go 5-6 hours now. I feel like a different person now that I can sleep longer too. :)

One Month

I can't believe how fast time flies! It is amazing to watch my little guy grow. He loves to go visit people. Actually I don't know if he really loves it but I do. I love having visitors and getting out and about. When we went and visited Grammy Jo, we found out that he weighs around 8lbs 4 oz give or take a few ounces. He is actually big enough to fit into about 6 outfits! It's fun to be able ti dress him everyday. He is a hit everywhere he goes. Everyone just goes nuts over how adorable he is. He is such a joy. He is more alert now and like to talk to his mom. He has to be in the right mood to talk to anyone else. He is not a performer. He loves to be sung to, he will just stare into your eyes and listen. Then he gets sleepy. His best nights are the nights I sing him to sleep. He tends to sleep better. I am so lucky to have been blessed with such an amazing son and husband.
